New Tutorial Videos
on April 27, 2010
Parrascope has recently produced two short tutorial videos for sub-recipients. The topics discussed include:
• Adding Vendors and Vendor Payments
These videos take the viewer on a narrated tour of the system using screenshots to demonstrate the reporting features offered by Parrascope. These videos can be viewed on the training page, or in the Help Center inside the application.
They may also be viewed outside of Parrascope on YouTube.
Vendor Payment Importing
on April 14, 2010
In addition to importing payments from state accounting systems, Parrascope can now accept .csv imports from sub-recipients. This will allow sub-recipients to upload all vendor payments tied to ARRA, regardless of the amount. Payments greater than $25,000 must be linked to Parrascope vendors, either before or after the import.
This feature will allow prime recipients to monitor all ARRA spending for proper use of funds, helping to prevent financial penalties. It will also eliminate manual data entry for sub-recipients, which will save time and prevent errors and omissions.
Wyoming will be the first state to implement this new feature. This will be a voluntary program starting in early May. All sub-recipients are invited to participate. Parrascope staff will help establish the process for all volunteer sub-recipients.
More details will become available in the coming weeks.
